Important information

#1 - Websites with accessibility errors on May 1st.

Please note that websites with unresolved, flagged accessibility issues will be disabled on May 1st and will remain unavailable until the issues are addressed and the site is republished.

#2 - How will T4 behave if I still have High-risk published PDFs?

Please be advised that all high-risk PDFs will be backed up and subsequently deleted from the Media Library. As a result, end-users will receive an "HTTP 404 - Page Not Found" error when attempting to access links to these files.

#3 - How will T4 behave if I don't move HTML emails to the new HTML Emails channel or to the Archive?

• Archived HTML Email Sections: HTML Email sections already moved to the archive do not need to be brought into WCAG 2.1 compliance. The "Read it online" links for these sections will automatically redirect to the archive.
• Published HTML Email Sections: Any sections that have not been moved to the archive or the new HTML Emails channel will result in a blank page for end-users. Although your content remains intact, you must choose to either archive these sections or move them to the new HTML Emails channel and bring them into compliance.

NOTE: Since Thursday, April 9th, our WCAG Website Compliance Project student assistants are remediating all T4 sites, including published HTML emails, which are essentially web pages. Our goal is to avoid taking any websites offline on May 1st.

PDF Accessibility

Remove unused PDFs in the T4 media library and discover which PDFs have the most accessibility issues using the PDF Accessibility tool (in the Compliance Assistant).

Published high-risk* PDFs: 1,112 (change this week -547)
Unlinked PDFs: 9,576 (change this week -630)

*PDFs with a risk score of 40 or higher (higher score = worse). Average score is 15.6 (change this week -.9).

Are you remediating PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Pro? Do you need an Adobe Acrobat Pro license? Use the to request a special license for this project.

If the document requires advanced remediation,  and request assistance using the CommonLook tool, or work with our external remediation vendor, Allyant.

Do you need assistance? We have student assistants ready to help remediate PDFs. to request assistance.

Any PDF with a risk score over 40 will be removed from TerminalFour on May 1st. We will maintain a backup copy of these removed PDFs in case they are needed, but they will need to be remediated before they are returned to the web.
