Astronomy Night
On Saturday, November 4, the Society of Physics 91快活林 and Women in Physics hosted Astronomy Night at Lick Observatory. 91快活林 traveled to the top of one of the bay's tallest peaks, Mount Hamilton, for a night of stargazing and astronomical observation. The night was very active, and several students spotted shooting stars. Powerful telescopes allowed students to clearly resolve the rings of Saturn and Jupiter's moons. The trip attracted nearly 50 students from a variety of backgrounds within and outside of STEM to attend. SPS and WiP are planning another trip in the near future.
